I just thought I'd create a thread that everyone can post in when they have a weird, strange, funny, scary or out of this world dream. I know that strange dreams are a common symptom of people who are recovering from a concussion/brain injury...Especially with all the different type of medications we are prescribed for pain, anxiety, etc.
So, when you have a strange dream that is worth writing home about...Post it here =P!! My memory is pretty bad...so I'm gonna have to post them as they happen. I had one 2 nights ago that I remember. I was in a wrestling ring...hitting people with chairs, doing clotheslines and other wrestling moves. Ironically, I didn't get hit once. I was trying my best to avoid any contact because I didn't want to cause further damage to my brain, lol. Anyways, have fun, post your dreams...I'd love to hear about them.

What happened: I was randomly assaulted from behind in June of 2011. I was knocked unconscious for an unknown amount of time (less than 30 minutes) and have no memory of the event. CT scan showed contusion and hematoma of the left frontal lobe. I spent 3 days in the hospital. Diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome in September 2011. Currently have Medicaid, Medicare and SSI. Current symptoms: Brain fog, mild memory issues, problems with spontaneity, occasional spacing out, word finding difficulties, tinnitus in right ear and some other things that I can't explain. Life after the brain injury: 4 years after the injury, I'm engaged to my beautiful girlfriend of 5 years, I'm the CEO of my own business, Notorious Labs, I've taught myself how to program complex games and apps which is a feat I never thought I'd accomplish and now live a semi-normal life with very mild PCS symptoms. Slowly but surely regaining my life back. |

I have strange dreams all the time, often multiple per night. These dreams are usually scary or stressful without being outright nightmares. I'm usually in weird situations where unpleasant and/or ridiculous things are happening.
I wish I could say I remembered some of my dreams, but I always forget them moments after I wake up (and they usually do wake me up, again often more than once per night). I am left thinking ** and struggling to fall asleep again. Last edited by Koala77; 04-03-2012 at 01:42 AM. Reason: As per NeuroTalk guidelines |

Jst to let you know... My Neurologist really sucks too!!! She's a worker comp doctor. She down right out just tells me "there is nothing wrong with you", that I just need exercise and Vitamin D. I'm on 150mg Venlafaxine and have really wierd dreams, I 've wondered are the dreams from the brain injury or the drug? last night I was dreaming about saving my Neices/Nephews from Aliens.
I also have problems watching tv. I can't watch tv because of all the white on the screen, the sound and I can't focus or follow the program. I use to love watching movies, now I spend many hours in bed with a pillow over my head. |

Mine has pretty much stayed the same...except for one week where I thought I was on viagra. My girlfriend kept on asking me "What's gotten into you!?"...I've also had some pretty X-Rated dreams, too...I wake up ready to rumble with my significant other.
