You want to joint my Space Cadet Corps?

It is only a part time Space Cadet Corp. Every day membership changes, we usually decide who qualifies sometimes before or just after breakfast.

We have a vote. We don't do a raise of hands. All the fingers in the air get too confusing. It's a voice vote. We don't do a roll call. We don't want to confuse anybody. 'Ayes' are excluded. 'Nayes' are also excluded. If you can get together enough brain cells to say aye or nay, you do not qualify. Only the 'What's happening?' and 'Forget about me asking who you are, who am I?' or 'I already voted tomorrow' also counts as a valid new member.

After lunch or a nap, some members wander away. We think they may have found some brain cells that figured out how to march in formation and got carried away with such a rare ability. But, then again, maybe they just got lost.

Some of our members are brought back into the Corp when the kids coming home from school find them wandering.

Since all of our members like to eat, we often can get them focused enough to make something for dinner. We are not too picky. Sometimes, the mother bird chews the food for us.

Our members tend to get real mixed up at night. When they try to stare off into space, they can't find it because it is too dark.

Someone tried to tell me that I have two minds, a right one and a left one. It helped me understand why I am so lost all the time, one mind wandered off and the other mind is out looking for it. So, who's minding the store?

My alarm tells me that it is time to go take my medicine. If I don't, the lady in the pink robe will come ask me if I did.

Now, if I can find my way down the stairs before it gets dark.
