but wasn't very familiar with them since i never had one , my brother is a high school football player and had 3 and in all he lost conscious I never lost it so I didn't think so whatsoever my parents were saying due to my headaches i might have one but I said no, I'm fine because I wanted to play. so I took the head medicine no big deal then went to my neighbors and they were smoking marijuana now I have done this about 3 times in the summer and my dads a DEA agent and told me the affects and I decided to stop.

Hockey season was almost over and it was a 5 day weekend so i figured ill do it one more time then I'm done and boom my life was changed .... i took a few hits from a bowl and right away i was out of it I was really trippy walked home screaming crying and eventually my parents called me down and I went to sleep and woke up the next day all shaky still and still feeling high.

for the next week i was fine still feeling like i had a weed hangover but it was no huge deal and i just kept playing hockey kept doing the usual and i was a little dizzy and light headed a lot and my headaches stopped. about 3 weeks later as the date was February 28th i had a JV championship game for high school as I am a freshmen playing JV and Varsity second line I played defense for fun on JV

During the game I hit someone and not a big hit whatsoever no one fell but as I did I got the worst headache. I skated off to the bench and sat down for 5 minutes without telling the coaches I got one. I was now really dizzy and continued to finish the game, eventually the game thinking I was just dehydrated. That's why I was dizzy since I didn't know what concussions were like even after this. I never stopped playing hockey.

The next weekend was the last weekend of my travel games so I played the game and was hitting the whole time having fun with my friends for the last game which was on like Feb 30th. The day after that I was at my grandmas and I was playing basketball with my brother and dad at a local high school gym. Toward the end I got really dizzy. This time I had to say something so I told my mom and dad.

They said maybe I'm dehydrated or something. I drank and honestly the feeling went away in 10 minutes. 2 days later it was Tuesday in class and I went into a fog where I couldn't sit still and the hole entire time I was talking loud to my friends. I just felt so weird and was saying to myself what's worth living, this class is awful and I hate it.

I was really not good then the next period I was totally fine talking to my friends and that day after school at 4 a bunch of my friends went to a friends house who has a basketball court to play. I went with them so I played all day. When my mom picked me up I felt really dizzy again. I didn't say a word though. Then when I got home it was the usual Tuesday where me my mom and brother (my dad being at work) watched a show called The River

.... at the end of the show it was time to go to bed and I got up feeling weird and continued walking to my bed and after laying in my bed for 2 minutes, I immediately got petrified something was wrong. My vision was really foggy/blurry/fuzzy. My eye movements were weird. Ii have a "STROBE LIGHT" effect with them.

I remember crying asking my dad being a DEA agent if this could be an effect from the marijuana i smoked 2-3 weeks ago. He said no it wouldn't effect me this late like this. It would have happened right away. I finally just went to sleep. The next day I woke up with the same scary feeling. Went to doctors, said I have post concussion syndrome. I didn't say anything about the marijuana.

2 days later I went back to normal. At 9pm at night, I remember being so happy it was over and sleeping. Then waking up the next day. It was back again..... Ever since then I've had this.... Its been like 2 and 3/4 months into it. I'm now going to a neurologist and my next visit is in a week.

I'm done. I'm telling him about the marijuana and seeing his opinion. It has been a few times after being diagnosed and still having awful symptoms I decided to go to hockey practice because I thought I was just being a baby. Having anxiety over a concussion that went away which isn't that case now.... I was getting better little by little but played a lot of Xbox yesterday and today am bad again... after having 3 weeks of getting better my question to you guys is

PERSONALLY do you think the marijuana has anything to do with this or did I get a concussion not knowing and get another at my jv game so now I have this PCS. Thanks and please get back to me. Sending a text would be lovely ** since I probably wont log on here again. I have no idea how to work it so can someone please get back to me thank you!

I'm wondering if anyone has the same symptoms which is my vision is very off. I'm lightheaded, sleeping alot, a bit confused, not the best memory, and feeling like I'm in a world of my own. After feeling better that one day and seeing the difference.... I try to do things to stall time and hope this will get better. Well someone please get back to me and thank you!

Tom,

Wow, Welcome to NeuroTalk. I hope you found your way back to NT.

I guess you posted this on a beta/smart phone.

You are experiencing normal Post Concussion Symptoms. I won't go into details until you post a reply except to say, stay away from the mind altering chemicals: MJ, alcohol, caffeine, and any drugs besides aspirin, Tylenol, and ibuprofen.

And, stay off the XBox until you are doing much better.

My best to you.
