I used to have trouble sleeping so to help that I drank alot. When I was going through my second divorce I lived in a garage, slept on a cot,.went to work when I felt up to it. Little did I know I had a tumor in the middle of my brain. It was located in a bad place.It was in the middle/ on the concious-part of my brain,..the "heart-part", what makes me,..I was having tunnel-vision,delusions,I was walking and even driving a car in my sleep,.for example, a policeman pulled me over one day and told me I was seen coming out of a store with a 6-pack in my hand at 11;30pm., backing my car into a pole, then I got out and picked up broken pieces of my tail-light and drove away.That explained why I found my tail-light busted one morning before I went to work!One night I fell down drunk and gashed my forehead open in the garage. The ambulance came and took me to the hospital. They stitched up my head and told me they found a tumor in my brain.I figured I was gonna die soon so I hopped on a bus and went to Rockport Texas to meet a friend.The one thing I wanted to do was see the ocean.I stayed in a motel right by the beach. I worked for a guy fixing houses and finding little side jobs, even went to church. One day my mother called begging me to come back,she found my brother on the floor in his bedroom.he died. Also when I was down there,.I got a call from the neurologist,"You'd better get back up here and get that thing out your head before it kills you" he said. so here I am,...here,..I'm still here to my chagrin and everyones dismay! "Forces exist that we still don't fully understand"

It appears it has been a few years since your two brain surgeries.

Are you experiencing symptoms from your brain surgery? Has the colloidal cyst come back?

No the tumor has not come back. I recently had a c/t and MRI scan. The tumor was a benign type but the first surgery (laser-endoscopic) didn't get all the "roots" out, so they had to literally "split" my brain and surgically cut out the tumor including the roots on the second go.I was found unconscious in my apartment 4 weeks after the first surgery and they life-flighted me back to the hospital for the second surgery.

WoW! What a story! I'm so sorry to hear about your brother and your trouble.

I have a friend who was diagnosed with brain cancer when they discovered tumors in his skull. He was given 6 months to live. That was more than 25 years ago. He is pretty happy - he is happy to be alive. Over the years, different areas of his brain have had to come out with different tumors they've found. His brain can not recognize symbols, so he is unable to read at all. He's an artist. They still find tumors in his brain and now take them out using a functional MRI.

It's peculiar about your friend,.the fact he's an artist I mean. I've always been a bit of an artist myself what with the work I used to do.I was considered a highly skilled craftsman over the years people would call me from all around to come work for them. I was offered a scholarship to go to college in high school but I turned it down because I just wanted out of school to marry my high school-first love.We were married (against some peoples' will) when she turned 18.Marriage lasted 13 years and 4 kids later. I was remarried for another 1 and 1/2 years to another woman,..a very pretty girl 10 years my junior. She wanted a baby I couldn't give her one. She got pregnant anyway by some guy so I hadda divorce her, but we still talk from time to time,..I'm not that mean,.just a little gullable? if that's the word I need here..I hope your friend is well but It's
troubling to me to hear about people with brain-problems of any sort.Todays'
doctors are so highly skilled but they still can't fix everything that comes to their docket,..it almost seems that a higher power is needed...You know?
Bad things happen to all sorts of people,..even good people.
