![]() I luckily have glasses, so I went and got a velvatint (or something) in the glasses at the optometrist, there is a very slight pink tint to them which cuts down on the glare of the fluorescent lights. I also wear earplugs when things in the office get crazy (especially on court days) because I get so overwhelmed. (luckily court is only twice a month in this small village, so I push through). For my headaches and neck issues, I use the technique Eowyn suggested and Ice my neck with an herbal ice pack thing while having my feet in hot water...it really works...! (I don't have a lot of money to see any chiropractor or other neck specialist people, but if you can afford it,Mark has had some good recommendations for treatments, too) The biggest buzzkill for me (because I feel like I have progressed tremendously in the past 6 months) is the fact that I cannot exert myself at all. When I feel the "hotflash" as I call it, I basically have to lay down in front of a fan or something and stay away from everyone until it passes. It is quite frustrating, but luckily it doesn't happen at work. I have cut back on a lot of social situations, as being around lots of people really seems to antagonize the dizziness because my brain can't process all the people at once. But, I have been trying to slowly go to small family functions, or small restaurants, etc during a busy time to try to see what happens. (usually about 30 mins I am good with earplugs in), but then I have to go lay down or hide in the bathroom til it passes, which sometimes takes a while. Unfortunately it is trial and error with me. I have been on Meclizine (antivertigo) but other than that, I take a multivitamin with B12 in it, and ibuprofen when needed. (finally to the when needed part, for the first 2 months, it was nonstop). So I think I am doing ok-ish, it is just hard when I have setbacks and get such bad headaches that I can't see straight. Also coping with fatigue...yeah. I really don't have the best coping...I get home from the office and basically sit until 830/9 when I go to bed because I am so tired. Not sure if I was ready to go back full time, but I need the money and luckily, sitting all day is ok. I don't exercise still, because the walking for long periods of time takes it all out of me. I need to figure out a way to slowly integrate it back into my life... *sigh* I hope something helped in here, it kind of turned into a ramble, but I hope you see some progression!! ![]()
