It's been 10 weeks since I had concussion. Loc 90sec,amnesia,nausea
And pcs. Yesterday I went for my check up and my Docter said i should go back to work now. He thinks im fine and eventually will get better. He suggested me to start doing some light cardio. For the first time I went for the walk today for like 10mins and I feel like pressuer in my head. Everytime i do anything physical I feel the pressuer. Anyone knows why ?? I'm so not ready for work. I still gets headeches. What do u guys think I should do ?? |

Do not go back to work if you cannot even handle a light walk. GEt a new doctor, one who understands PCS!

Feb 24, 2012 - Slipped on a large puddle of ice at work, hitting the back of my head. No loss of consciousness, so I assumed I'd be back at work within a few days. I was wrong. When resting, symptoms are low. With exertion, I still suffer from fatigue, migraines, vision problems, problems thinking or reading, troubles sleeping, issues finding or getting words to my mouth when the headaches are bad, tinnitus, and thyroid issues which I think are due to the concussion. Seen one specialist, and now a few others through insurance review of my case. Hoping for further treatment. |

I agree.
Also, (well, in my opinion, it could be wrong tho,) I would wait on the "light cardio" until you can walk longer successfully. It has been since Jan 2012 for me, and I still have issues with walks, so just start with maybe 5 minutes and see if you go symptom free, when you are ready again of course. Good luck to you! ![]()

I would also caution against doing things that cause pain or exacerbate symptoms. I am more than 10 months in and I started very light workouts only a month or two ago. I still don't feel 100% when I'm working out, but I don't have a splitting headache when I do light exercise. Take it slow and don't push yourself. This is not like rehabbing a surgical procedure.
