Help Please read, all my symptoms and treatments I can think of that I've had. ❤

I've decided I'm going to list all my symptoms, treatments, and etc in one post (this one). Then do other posts specifying on different things. Here goes:

Constant severe headache that's went no lower than 5 out of 10.
Constant neckache with the same lowest level of pain.
They average around 6-7 in pain normally.

Dizziness, nauseousness, balance problems.

Highly sensitive to light and sounds.
Trouble with repetitive noises like a car's blinker or tapping or mouse-clicking, etc.
Ringing in the ears.
Eye focusing problems.
Eye flashing problems.

Right sided weakness.

VERY slurred and slowed speech that progressed to sounding like a foreign echange student.

Learning new things.
Concentration.
Multi-tasking.
Easily being overwhelmed.
Easily distracted.
Irritability.
Attention span.
Easily changeable mood, easily frustrated.

Takes me longer to do things AND can't do things as long.

No filter-when I think of something to say, it comes out. And no sense of innapropriate times to say things.

Didn't make eye contact for over a month and a half.

Horrible nightmares.

Night terrors. Basically, I'd see/feel something that wasn't human.

Needing LOTS of sleep. Much more than ever before.

Very easy-going (not me normally) as in saying ok to anything.

Difficulty finding words to say. (knowing what I'm trying to say but having trouble expressing it).

Feeling so loved yet so alone bacause no one quite understands.

Sometimes feeling hungry at all times, sometimes can't eat because I'm just not hungry.

Not a bad thing, but my speech was so affected yet my singing voice was not!!!

Ok so that's all I can think of on the spot. I've never loss consciousness. Here are some treatments /doctors I've had.

E.R. with IV and cat scan.
E.R. with IV and MRI.
E.R. with IV.
Concussion clinic:
Psychologist-Brian Reiger-amazing by the way!! 1 every 5 or so weeks.
Nurse Practitioner-Paul Treila-really nice! 1 every 5 or so weeks.
Physical therapy-Mike. Really good!! Once a week for 7 weeks, switched to a different place closer to home specifically for neck twice a week, then back to Mike once every 2 weeks.
Occupational therapy-Kim once, Theresa once, an Molly the rest. Once a week then once every 2 weeks.

Another MRI for my neck.

Once every while with family physician.

Ok next is a story. Like I said, I switched to a different place for PT for a little while. I was given the go ahead to try aqua therapy. It was Thursday, and it was in a very confined room. It felt great on my body but as soon I was done I felt really weird. By dinner I couldn't talk because it hurt so much.

I tried going to bed but I woke up with EXTREME difficulty breathing, swallowing, and felt like my throat was closing up. After about 20 mins we had paramedics come and check us out and they ambulanced me to the E.R.

They gave me many meds and gas masks. One of the scariest things I've ever went through is them putting a mask on me and it made me feel like I was choking to death but I was so weak physically I couldn't get it off. I freaked out and my mom says that was one of the scariest moments she's ever been through too. So they sent me home being able to breathe a little but better.

Friday was not as bad as when I left on thursday but worse than when I had checked out. Saturday came and it was really bad. We went to a family physician and he sent us straight back to the E.R. They did some tests and more medicine &masks. It almost felt as what an asthma attack is described except worse. I had an x-ray of my chest.

They said they were transferring me down to Upstate ER. They ambulances me down because I was getting worse. The ENT(ear, nose, &throat) doctor did a scope up my nose and down my throat-which was HORRIBLE!!!! They said that I had DVC. Dysfunctional vocal cord syndrome. Basically my vocal cords didn't work right.

I raspy whispered/had severe breathing problems for a few weeks and started Speech therapy as well. I regained my voice and breathe within a few sessions. They were amazing!

Alright well I guess that will be all for now!

I had QUITE the past year!! I've never had any severe injuries or anything before last summer. In the past year I've had a sprained ankle, a hip contusion, my mom had a blood clot in her long and stated in the hospital for a week (almost died), my uncle frank just came back clear after his fifth battle of bladder cancer (has never drank or smoked, athletic healthy guy), and I've gotten a severe concussion that I'm still battling for 8 months tomorrow.

I love you all and NeuroTalk.

I won't be on for a week but I'll get on ASAP!

Brianna,

It sounds like you need to be seen by an alternative form of diagnostics and therapy for your neck. www.NUCCA.org is an association of upper cervical chiropractors who can do upper neck diagnostics and therapy that is quite different than normal chiropractic. I encourage you to find a NUCCA chiro for some diagnostics.

The choking/can't breath sensations sounds like a spinal cord issue. If your neck is inflamed and the nerves are not functioning properly, it can cause the DVC, sleep apnea so that you do not breath properly at night leaving you exhausted and sleepy all day.

I had a problem where my throat would spasm so I could not swallow. It turned out to be a problem with my spine. Once it was resolved, the problem cleared up within an hour or so.

So, when you get back and see this, ask your mom to help you find a NUCCA chiro. If you need help, post here and we will help. We need to know the general location. I looked for chiros near Upstate Medical Center/Syracuse.

Here are the NUCCA chiros closest to Syracuse :http://www.nucca.org/find_doctor_res...=&txtLastName=

Oh my gosh!!! Thank you so much!! That gives me such hope!!!!!! The only thing is it has came back structurally clear and everything twice. That gives me such excitement though!!!! Thank you!! Also, I live directly north of Syracuse about 30 miles north. I so greatly appreciate your advice except all of the places I've found are at least hours away. :P

But thanks again!!!!! ❤
