Hi everyone. Been having very up and down days recently and am really noticing my physical deterioration.
I have hypermobility in all of the ligaments in my joints and have always maintained good muscle strength to 'hold me together'. Prior to my tbi my right knee and wrist were the least stable joints and would wobble and give way occasionally. I have noticed in the past few weeks that both knees and wrists are getting really painful and unstable. I collapsed in a heap the other night as I stumbled, and it was scary and hard to get up without anything to pull myself up on. I make myself go for a half hour walk along a familiar path each day to get some exercise, and it is lovely to be out on my own for a while. It just feels like there is a linking problem between brain and muscle function, affecting moving food from front to back of mouth when eating and also affecting my ability to consciously flex individual muscles. My hands and fingers start shaking and quivering if I am mentally stressed too ![]()

I'm sorry to hear ur having a bad time. I myself are going thru tough times as well.
Maybe for a little while try shortening ur walks. Maybe ur brain is telling u it's too much. We have to learn to listen to our bodies. Do you have a physio therapist? Take care, Kelly

Sorry to hear how difficult it is. I feel for you. I was very active and went to the gym regularly. While I have been recouping I can not exercise it brings on a crushing bad headache.
I have lost twelve pounds all muscle weight. I am only a short guy and not that big so twelve pounds off my frame is a huge difference in two months. Hang in there and try and stay positive. Post anytime you need support. Hope you feel better.

Have you looked to see if Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) might fit for the lax joints?
http://www.medicinenet.com/ehlers-da...me/article.htm Have you had your c1-c2 alignment checked - (upper cervical ) chiropractic? It is not the same as the normal chiro adjustments, quite different. Not aggressive at all.

Thank you everyone for the support, it really helps. I was just thinking today how quiet a gathering of all of us would be - low music, no alcohol, no dancing and some faltering conversation with people disappearing for a break every hour - we're all here for each other xxx
