Default New here too! Introduction of sorts...

Just discovered this site and thought I'd make a brief introduction. I was in a severe ATV accident in 2009, which among a list of horrible other injuries left me with TBI. Luckily, my main symptom now is short term memory loss and everything that comes along with that. Believe it or not, this is the first time I've gotten to talk to anyone else with TBI, so I am very excited to have found this forum.

Default Welcome

I happened on this forum by accident. I was literally starting to question my sanity as I could not think or verbalize coherently. I am still having issues but with advice have found some coping skills.

I got alot of strange looks. Sometimes co-workers would look at me questioningly and ask, are you OK? One person told me I know what you were trying to say but it did not make since at all.

Ask questions and vent if you need it. I want to thank everyone for listening and advising but those words don't seem adequate.

Hello - Welcome to NeuroTalk

I'm interested to hear more about your recovery

What were your symptoms and how long did they take to subside?

How bad was your concussion? Loss of consciousnesses (LOC)?
Did your symptoms set in instantly or over time?

All the Best
Tom.

casey,

Welcome,

So, how have you healed? Do you have any other symptoms besides the short term memory difficulties?

How can we help you?

My best to you.
