Question New symptom

I know that along with high blood pressure comes sweating. I bought myself a monitor a couple of yrs ago when my low pressure started and the hospital needed a record of it, saving many trips to the GP.

So I have been monitoring again and my BP has been consistently 90/60.

Low I know, but I am sweating to the point where I am soaking wet. I need to shower 3-4 times a day just to feel ok.

Any ideas?

I am a 36 yr old female who has played football, as a hobby, for 13 yrs. In July 2012, during a game I was slammed to the floor by two angry guys who hit into me so hard that one of them broke their ribs.
This knocked me back onto hard ground leaving me unconscious. I awoke to chronic head and neck pain, sickness and the inability to see or balance.
The paramedics made me walk to the ambulance, instead of placing me on a spinal board, where I was taken to the ER. I was hospitalised with suspected brain hemorrhage for 1 week, then on complete bed rest for 1 month, in a wheelchair for 2 months.

I have been left with PCS, moderate constant head pain, little short term memory, no memory of the accident, balance and sight problems, depression and exhaustion.
The worst problem is collapsing regularly. This has finally been diagnosed as Hemiplegic Migraines , these cause my brain to regularly shut down when I am tired and I then feel the full effects of a stroke (without the bleed on the brain!!) of which the symptoms last 2-4 days.
I have had 6 CT's, 2 MRI's and am under 3 specialists.

I believe everyday is one more towards improvement. Mainly I believe in the power of acceptance not the weakness of complacency or resignation.

I had the same early on - my GP said it was probably a hormone imbalance could be the same for you?

Sospan,

Did your physician followup with any sort of hormone-panel tests?
(I asked, got nowhere on that one. Perhaps others have more advanced, better-trained, better-educated physicians re: these matters.)

Nope, nothing, after 9 months still waiting for a proper examination. My GP's are too frightened to recommend anything until I have seen a Neurologist.

Hence I drift in and out of the forum to understand as much as I can.

BTW Headway uk has this information on hormone imbalance Fatigue. Excessive tiredness is common to all severities of brain injury,

I am freezing cold most of the time now, even with the heating on and several layers. But when I wake in the morning I'm so hot I have to have a cold shower sometimes. I rarely seem to be a comfortable temp, only extremes, and I don't know why.

Default Hormones

Mark in Idaho has posted several posts with regard to a hormone panel test. Early in my recovery I had a similar sweaty issue. After 6 weeks or so I moderated. I still feel alittle out of whack from time to time.
