Hello, NOS,
Sorry to hear that you are still suffering so w/ the headaches. Have you tried Mark's recommended combo of using up to 1000 mg each of tylenol + aspirin? Or applying ice/cold pack to alleviate headache? Has your dr. perhaps tried prescribing amitriptyline? How is your nausea & vomiting as of late? Hopefully resolved by now? You are perhaps likely to suffer more of same, on a Rx narcotic pain med. Just a word to the wise. Wishing you well, Theta

NOS,
I am sorry that you are suffering so much with headaches. I think that you need to go back to your doctor if the headaches are getting worse. Have you been diagnosed with migraines, because if they are migraines, there are specific medicines that will stop a migraine. They are called triptans and they have names like Imitrex, Naratriptan, Maxalt. There are a bunch of them. They only help if it's a migraine, and they don't prevent the migraines, but they can be such a blessing if you are having those headaches. Another thing to ask about - if your headaches are migraines - is Botox for migraines. It has been approved for people who get headaches 15 or more days a month. Another thing to consider would be acupuncture. It can be very helpful for headaches when nothing else seems to work. But, bottom line, if your headaches are getting worse, you should see a doctor and have him/her check out what is going on. I wish you better days with less pain. Please let us know how you are doing. ShellyK |
