hopeful,
You both will surprises when you realize how much icing her upper neck can help. There are so many ways upper neck inflammation can magnify concussion symptoms. Besides, icing her neck does not cause any side effects, especially when compared to cranial sacral therapy and other alternative therapies.
I have had TMJ problems for decades. I have the symptoms down to a minimum now. I used to clinch my jaw. Now, I take gabapentin and it prevents the jaw clinching. Muscle tension in the jaw and neck are common to concussion. The icing can help with these issues.
My best to you both.
