Smile Happy + Healthy New Year

Everything changed in an instant for me in 2012 — everything I knew to be true, everything that I took for granted about me, my brain, my work, my relationships, my raising of my son, my health.

I'm sure the same holds true for many who visit this forum.

The opportunity such life change presents is to grow larger — somehow — in the face of so much change, difficulty, fear, uncertainty. To choose something other than shrinking back.

Here's to small steps forward for everyone in 2013. I am grateful for all that my injury is teaching me — and to know that others are walking a similar path.
