That should be fine. 400 IU's of Vitamin E will help the Omega 3 get used properly. Omega 3 oil will oxidize easily. The Vitamin E slows the oxidation to give the Omega 3 oil a chance to be absorbed.

Vit E concentration is typically given in I.U. form.

The amount added to fish oils typically is very small, far smaller than a therapeutic dose. The conversion factor if needed to milligrams is 2 IU=1 milligram.

Many fish oils do not even give an amount to the Vit E content on their labels, because it is so small.

I saw that the factor is 1,49? So 400iu = 268 mg.

I take 25mg of Zinc Citrate a day and it makes me feel like a new man. Almost completely gets rid of my brain fog which I believe has been caused by multiple concussions. Fish oil also helps, but to a lesser extent.

Personally, I wouldn't take them when recovering as I found without the brain fog my mind was much more active, which is the opposite of what I wanted while recovering.

Hope that helps someone else!

I've added zinc(24mg) as well combined with 200 mcg selenium, because I always had a lack of those two.

About vitamin E - They only got 400mg pills which is about 600 iu. So overall im taking 445 mg vitamin E. Is that too much? Should I take the pills a few hours before Omega 3, to give them time to get in the bloodstream or can I take them together? In store they advised me to get vitamin C as well. Is that really necessary?

Vitamin C is another valuable anti-oxidant.

Ok, I think I will abstain from Vit C for the moment. Feels kinda weird to take 12 pills a day.

I have taken as many as 22 at a time. If I add some carbonation to OJ or another juice, I can swallow the whole bunch at once. Vitamin C is a foundational anti-oxidant.

Let's come back to Vitamin E quickly. I didn't really get an answer on the question posted above.

The dose of vitamin E, that I am currently taking is 663 IU. There are some articles that claim that more than 400 IU's a day raise the death risk. So what should I do? Dividing of capsules is not possible.
