My parents have been very weird about my condition, they want me to continue school, but to recover, I don't think I can do it anymore. How should I bring this up to them? Should I ask my therapist to sit with me and my mom to discuss recovery? What should I do? I know this talk won't be easy. In fact, after this, I may even need a whole day of rest due to it being so stressful.

Consider~This is something I had to do with my mother and the neurologist....Not because of school but because my daughter and also to explain why my behavior for the last year and half was out of control....My parents come from the days where mental health was not really a exposed issue....
My parents never had anxiety, depression, or really even take any medication...My neurologist had to express to my mother that this is not a broken bone that can be put in a cast to reset....He also expressed to her how complex this syndrome is MANY TIMES in one visit....he was a advocate for me since I have cognitive problems so I have problems expressing or saying the correct words to feelings or thoughts..... I would must def have a MD advocate speak for you....Because the stress of school and adding online is what my shut down point was...Make apt with your MD and tell MD that you need to meet with you and your family to talk about your condition because you are having trouble communicating with parents about your condition....then tell your parents that you need them to go with you to this apt because they need to connect with MD about your diagnosis.I hope your parents can get a better understanding soon for your support. I think a sit down with your therapist and parents would be good. Your therapist can explain your limitations objectively. It will also give your parents a first hand way to understand what you need to do for recovery.
What has your therapist been doing for you?

I agree with Mark a sit down with your therapists is probably in order. PCS is difficult and a robust support system is hugely helpful. Maybe after you can cue up I look great parts 1 thru 6 on you tube. This is a very good series with a 50-ish PCS sufferer.

rmschaver makes a good point. You should check out the links at the bottom of my Nutrition Regimen thread. It includes the You Look Great link and a few others. Your mother should watch 'You Look Great" and read the others.
