Hi and welcome. Lots of folks here will relate.
All brain injuries are different and they heal on their own schedule. FWIW, your concussion is failrly recent. Rest, good nutrition, no alcohol are all positive things you are doing. Regarding the anxiety and stress, I found mindfullness meditation, gentle yoga and massage therapy helpful. Others will contribute what works for them. Best to you as you recover.

What Happened: On November 29, 2010, I was walking across the street and was hit by a light rail commuter train. Result was a severe traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures (skull, pelvis, ribs). Total hospital stay was two months, one in ICU followed by an additional month in neuro-rehab. Upon hospital discharge, neurological testing revealed deficits in short term memory, executive functioning, and spatial recognition. Today: Neuropsychological examination five months post-accident indicated a return to normal cognitive functioning, and I returned to work approximately 6 months after the accident. I am grateful to be alive and am looking forward to enjoying the rest of my life. |

Thank you for your response. It's nice to know someone cares. Do you have any meditation suggestions? Massage therapy sounds like a great idea. I was also thinking about getting away for the weekend. Possibly driving to the beach(by myself) to relax for the day .
