Default Is DORMICUM an Ok med ?!

I've been taking dormicum for 2 years now...and i think i am having problems with memory. I used to take 1 pill/day after i almost lost my life (after an street gang aggression) and I had insomnia and panic attacks.

The doctor said it's ok to take...but now i have sometimes memory loss. Like i send an e-mail and I forget I sent it,etc.

I don't know if it's dormicum or just stress,etc.

<sigh>

I don't know where you are.

I don't know who your doctor is.

I would hold your doctor as suspect. This is just as dangerous as Michael Jackson using Propofol in his home, prescribed by his doctor, and look where his doctor is now.

This is a drug that should NOT be used as an outpatient medication.

Dormicom

Midazolam

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Medication update: Topamax 200mg twice daily it seems to minimize daily headaches to a 1-2/10 quality(I still know they are there); and acute headaches erupt without warnings.

Well... all doctors say different stories.
I had quit it...and i think i will never use it again.

But one problem... does it hurt the ability to remember things from the past? before using it? or it's affecting the memory you should have in the future.

Like.... if I took it for 2 years and then top, will i have problems memorizing text in the future? like from now on ?

ro85,

I suggest you start the brain nutrition vitamin regimen to help your brain heal. Benzos like Dormicum are know to cause memory dysfunctions. Your doctor does not know what he is talking about when he says Dormicum is safe to take.

If you have long term memory problems, check out Peter Breggin's web site for information about claims against the manufacturer of the dormicum.

Can you describe you memory problems a little more ?
