I have noticed this shortly after my head injury accident.I have never had body odor before playing sports etc.Now I do not sweat but I have a body odor on my feet and under arms if I forget to put oils on my feet or deodorant under arms. Those are the only places that have odor lol.
Nobody else can smell it but me.(I know I asked my family lol)I am thinking it is the chemical change in brain resulting in body?I just wanted to ask around to see if anyone else has this problem or if it might be related to my PTSD?I know it is something because I noticed it right after accident.Any feedback is appreciated. ![]()

Various meds can change the way your body excretes moisture etc. I can sweat up a storm and not smell put other times, with a bit of stress from over-stimulation, I smell horrible.
I don't know it there is anything that can be done. It is a symptoms that just stinks. My best to you.

When I mentioned this I was told that a head injury can affect the hormone balance which can lead to excess sweating and change in body odour. Mine settled down after a few months and hasn't bothered me since.
Hope yours resolves soon

Probably a hormonal change but you could also be having an enhanced sense of smell. I have bouts of super smelling where I smell things that my husband can't.

I have recovered my cognitive function, and I've overcome severe vertigo through sensory integration therapy. Wellbutrin has helped me escape depression. I have recently had a few stress-related migraines, as well as headaches stemming from eye strain. I'm also dealing with tinnitus, lack of stamina, extreme light sensitivity, and eye pain. Diagnosed with 9 different vision issues: convergence insufficiency, pursuit eye movement deficit, egocentric visual midline shift, photophobia, visual information processing delays, accommodative insufficiency, saccadic eye movement deficit, lack of coordination, and central peripheral visual integration deficit. *First concussion: October 2010. I was pregnant and got rear ended. I associated my mild PCS symptoms with baby brain and blamed my light sensitivity on allergies and dry eyes. *Second concussion: December 2011. I hit my head on a wooden beam, saw stars but did not lose consciousness, and I had very disturbing PCS symptoms but didn't go to the doctor. *Third concussion: August 2012. I caused a car accident as a result of PCS symptoms. Thankfully no one was injured but me. My husband confronted me, and I finally sought help and took medical leave from work. My symptoms worsened, and I developed severe vertigo. *Fourth concussion: November 2012. I was riding in a car with a friend and we were hit head on by a driver who lost control of her car. I didn't have a big increase in PCS symptoms. |

It could be hormones or stress sweat. I had different scents since accident and was on no medication.
Perspiration that's triggered by emotion is most likely to occur on your face, in your armpits, on your palms and on the soles of your feet. But how much you sweat and even the way your sweat smells can be influenced by your mood, your diet, some drugs and medical conditions, and even your hormone levels. Because it's almost impossible to define normal sweating and body odor, try to learn what's normal for you. That will help you pinpoint any unusual changes.
