Berkleybrain,
Will you please answer any of the questions above, most importantly did your ENT think this is permanent? Thank you very much! I appreciate it so. |

sorry, I came down with some fever/congestion. I'm providing the link from the vestibular society on tips for flying (which I followed)
http://vestibular.org/sites/default/...isorders_0.pdf The ENT said the symptoms were a result of mtbi/pcs, and that while the condition would improve it may be a slow process. He also said that many people live in crisis mode for a long time, and for many it just resolves itself all of a suddent. The neurology/ent specialists thought that the ear/vestibular symptoms were actually migraine and brain related. I began to follow this regime, and I haven't had any migraines or vestibular episodes for a month (cross fingers). I think that the decision to fly or not is deeply personal. If the trip is critical, then you should. If it is just personal/pleasure, I would not. Any symptoms you have will just be worsened and may take more time to resolve. I am putting off any flights until I have a better sense of my symptoms. It's hard since life is out there, but I don't want to be sick for as long as I was again. Best of luck!
