I've ebbn told I have vestibular migraines, occipital neuralgia, and mayo facial ...., slightly bulging disc
I've had two nerve blocks for the occipital 2x. It was euphoric like as the needles went in my head. It drew me away from the migraine. The first lasted 3-4 weeks second 4--6 weeks. I do physical therapy on my neck and see a pain a management doctor this week. ANYTHING ABSOLUTELY TO GET RID OF THESE HEADACHES! Exercising (restrictive, chair, lying down, holding onto wall), water, vitamin regime, keppra. Tell me what u do, how long has it been? Any suggestions? I have never been a big drinker, drug addict, or inflicted injury for purpose but feeling desperate. I can understand why some people resort to these thing. Peace and healing, Jace

living_dazed,
disc injuries are tricky and then add PCS to the mix--no wonder you are suffering. Acupuncture helped with my daughter's headache. We started at Stanford Integrative Clinic, but the drive was too long. Once we realized how much it helped we found someone local with a lot of great references. She goes 2xs/ week. For me, icing always helped by bulging discs. --Hopeful |

Ask PT to check for trigger points in your muscles, if they don't know much about it, find another PT person..
Do you know if your cervical spine /disks have any issues (bulges/ tears / herniations etc) or is it mainly soft tissue/myofascial based pain? Triggerpoint chart for upper body referred pain http://www.pressurepointer.com/pain_reference_chart.htm

I am in the same situation! I have one more shot of cortisone left for my neck until the shot's will no longer be an option for me. I have bulging disks C1-C5 and I get really bad Myofacial jaw pain as well. I am dealing with this BAD today from the weather I believe.
The shots only last short term so I turned to acupuncture for the chronic pain with my SNRI but I think I will be needing more for my pain or I will be back on bed rest with hot/cold compressions non stop....Back to step one I had vestibular problems and now when I get in this condition of headaches my eye's start bothering me along with tinnitus. ![]() I have one MD tell me to not work on the strengthening and a pt that say's to work on it.....I have no answers for you but to let you know you are not alone with this chronic pain! Thanks everyone. I just posted on ED's topic. These headaches are brutal.
I can't decide if bad all the time is the worst or off and on. Once you have that break its beyond hell when it comes back full force, just like the nausea. Pain management doc tom! Hopefully he can help me without taking off my head. Peace and healing, Jace

Have you seen the thread about a surgery similar to carpal tunnel surgery that is designed to reduce the pressure on the nerve thus relieving the head ache ?
It is only for specific conditions but worth the research. I found the thread. here is a link to it. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...d+ache+surgery My best to you.
