I have just started taking Keppra 500mg two times a day for post concussive headache.
I previously took nortriptline, but it cased me to gain weight (10 lbs in 6 weeks!) I've taken just one dose of Keppra and it kept me up most of the night with night sweats and a headache at the base of my skull, which I did not have previously. Now I have both the original headache and the new headache at the base of my skull. Does anyone know if the headaches will cease with additional Keppra? I hope so..I've been on 4 different meds and would really like to have one that works~ |

Very few here on NT have mentioned Keppra. Head aches have many causes when they follow a concussion. Do you have tenderness behind your ears ? If so, these can be muscle spasm head aches.
Have you tried icing the back of your neck when you have a head ache.
