Default Feeling of Coldness in Veins

I am cold all the time, and nothing seems to help. Lately, however, I feel a new type of coldness. It is difficult to explain. Basically, it feels like my veins are cold. Like the blood flowing through my body is cold.

This doesn't happen all day, but when it does, it sends me into a panic. Is anybody else experiencing this? I'm not sure if it's from the concussion or something else. It has only been about 2 weeks since my concussion, and this started happening about a week ago.

MWS,

Welcome to NeuroTalk. I have never heard of anything like you describe connected to a concussion. A concussion can effect many bodily systems. Hormones, blood pressure and blood sugar levels can all be effected by a concussion.

Have you taken your temperature and/or blood pressure during these episodes ? It would help to understand what your body is doing.

My best to you.

Mark you mentioned concussions effects many bodily systems - can you explain more?

I've getting random sting-like pains that last for few seconds thru out my body since my head injury.

Those sting like pains can be related to anxiety. Or, as I said, another body system can be struggling. Your nervous system has been traumatized and needs time to heal.

Thanks, Mark. I haven't done that yet, but I do know that my blood pressure has been somewhat high lately. Last time I checked, it was around 138 over 98.
