When people have neck surgeries, they have a diagnoseable /imageable injury that has a fix. There are less invasive ways to treat neck instability if that is what you have.

A way to help understand if your neck is an issue would be to sleep on your back in a straight posture with minimal support of your head. You can do this in a recliner, too.

There is an imaging system that can be used to look at upper neck and ligament stability while moving it.

I would exhaust every option before even considering pursuing a surgical fix.

What symptoms were resolved with the successful neck surgeries you mentioned ?
