I am sorry that you don't have more support as you recover from your TBI. Have you contacted your local chapter of the Brain Injury Association? They would be able to put you in touch with support groups and services. When you speak of jerking motions, do you mean as you fall asleep? The full body shudder, as TBI patients pass into sleep, is fairly common. As for starting a new thread, I do it by opening an existing TBI post, like this one, and then clicking the "thread starter" button that appears on the upper left part of the screen. No doubt there is a more direct method, but this approach works for me. Take Care |

Thanks for the answer whoever you are. Yes the jerk s when trying to fall asleep. I am overseas working in a position that I cannot say what it is kind of...Dont really need a new thread, just wonder where the complete recovery stories are? maybe never? This has just continued to change with time, new weirdeness around every corner.

rexpotter,
Welcome to NeuroTalk. I am confused as to why you are taking anti-anxiety meds. You don't mention any anxiety symptoms. Have you sought out any care for your whiplash ? You say your diet is very good yet you are drinking beer and do not mention any B-12 or other B vitamins nor any D3 or anti-oxidants. You are not getting enough sun in Seattle for a brain with extra need for D3. If you want to start your own thread, click on the "Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Concussion Syndrome" link across the top that will take you back to the index. Then, you can use the New Thread link in the upper left corner. It is better to start a new thread. otherwise, your posts get lost and not responded to. You don't need recovery stories. You need direction to find treatment that helps with healing.

OK, I see you are the Hockey guy. Still cannot find the new post or new thread thing.
Interesting that you know about the full body shudder. Also have really bizzare thoughts when trying to get to sleep but whats weird is, after I have slept and get up to pee then they don't come back like that. Quote:
