Default Overdoing it - dangerously

After doing something really dangerous last week, I have decided to listen to the wisdom on this board and become more proactive . Or maybe not if my track record holds. ( I have read the thread on vitamins a couple of times, but just lack motivation. )
Anyway, first of all, thank you all for the help and support available on this forum. I am 3 months in and found this forum about 3 weeks in. ( Fell backwards onto an icy sidewalk in March, cevical sprain and concussion) Thanks to all of you, I do not feel crazy. My doctor for work comp. knows nothing about PCS. I just keep telling him that I am dizzy and he keeps me off work. My neurologist did some tests and said I should continue to rest until my six month mark and if not better he might refer me to a neuropsychologist.
Back to the dangerous part. I had been feeling really good for a week or so. My sons suggested a short hike into a wooded area. We got lost and spent 3 hours trying to find our way out over very rugged terrain. When rescued, the paramedic wanted to admit me to the hospital with a BP of 160/90 and heart rate of 145. I pleaded PCS and was eventually allowed to be driven home.
Do not do this! I have been out of whack ever since. I believe it is what you all call a setback. And I feel like a cottonheaded ninnymuggins for doing it. It has made me more aware of fluctuations in heart rate and blood pressure that seem to correlate with my symptoms though.
