Get a sleep study done. You could be depriving yourself of oxygen. I don't breathe when I sleep. No solutions yet... I just don't sleep much; close my eyes and try not to pass out; I get "rest" but generally can't sleep. I slept "last night" from 2 to 4. I "woke up" passing out... then started to breathe again. Now I'm up... decided its time to join neuro talk forum... this is my second? third? post.

Yes, sleep apnea can be a problem for TBI patients.

Yes... but all of this did not start until about 4.5 months in...

The Start: MVA, t-boned, on 1-12-14 (my sons 5th birthday) and did not think anything of it.. my back hurt on site but everything else seemed ok. Current Situation: I'm about 7 months in and my local neurologist has waived her white flag and therefore I am headed to Dallas to be seen (I have family there). The headaches are still daily. I have nausea, dizziness as well.

I had this after my first concussion a few times but a lot during a few weeks after my second concussion. I would wake up with my whole body tremoring on the inside very strongly, and I felt like I was paralyzed, between sleep and waking up.

I also had times when my body would numb and tingle on half sides at a time, divided perfectly in the middle, it would switch every few hours for a week or so.
Doctors said it was anxiety..yeah right!

But the worst was on some days I woke up with this intense tingling/buzzing litterally shooting down from the lower part of the back of my skull down through my neck. I think it was due to my whiplash, but it felt like it came from my brain..hmm. It thankfully dissapeared and has not come back.

Now I get tremors only when I am very stressed, but those are the good kind of temors that releases stress from muscles so those I just enjoy! The Trauma Releasing Exercise-kind of tremors!

It's interesting because I can take a nap during the day and fall asleep without this happening, something to do with the night??

But then Mark has them waking up, so...from waking up and others when falling asleep, how do we stop it!!?? it's an awful feeling.

I never get a full nights sleep, and thinking about it when I get up several times during the night, I stand up and then feel my breathing is off, does anyone get this too?

Hope you are ok today Mark and everyone, Happy 4th!

I got my first tremor today morning. I was **** scared and immediately realised something is going on with me and it's not an earthquake. I stick my fingers in my ears and I could hear the tremors in my head. I am frustrated that something new pops up every now and then.

Im not sure if im experiencing the same thing. But whenever im about to fall asleep I get a quick full body twitch, like im startled. Then I get a weird, almost like a pins and needle feeling, inside my head. But it moves around, almost like someone is massaging your head. Its weird, but its been ever night since the injury.

Also, hows your startled response? I get startled extremely easy now, not sure if thats part of it all though.

I get that shaky feeling (the inside of my body is shaking). When it is worse, I feel like I am having a seizure(my body wants to have a seizure but am not).I feel that my eyes want to roll back and my body wants to shake, but they don't . For me for about 9 months, I got this shaky feeling when I was hungry. I no longer felt the actual hunger, but I would notice this feeling and if I ate it went away. now it comes at random times or when I am full. It could be a correlation, but mostly it is when I am almost done eating I get this shaky feeling. No doctor has been able to figure it out and I had not got any feedback from doctors on this yet. I am relieved that I am not alone and to know that this is a symptom of my brain injury.

I also get goose bumps only on my left thigh constantly throughout the day. I do have neck issues is there anything we can do for this? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks dave
