Welcome to NeuroTalk. A lot of what you explain sounds like anxiety. As the doc said, it sounds like you have a high stress level and minimal ways to relieve stress. The bumps may cause some very slight symptoms but your anxiety makes them much worse. It does not sound like you have anything worth trying to treat until you have found ways to reduce your stress levels. The ademetionine (SAMe) is an interesting recommendation. You could add some Omega 3 DHA fish oil and a B-50 complex. Read my post in the stickies at the top 'Vitamins and Supplements" Keep in touch.
