hi all,
i'm on day 5 of lexapro, starting at a tiny dose of 2.5mgs but even still have incredible fatigue. what's worse is my head is pounding like it hasn't in months today. yesterday i maybe got a tad warm on a walk, and also spent two hours working on a spreadsheet for work, but was good about resting the rest of the day. my resting heart rate is maybe a little fast 80/min...it's possible i had too much caffeine b/c it got worse after half a cup of weak green tea... and of course i'm trying not to worry about list of symptoms that are cause for concern w/ lexapro (plus i take 15mgs amatryptaline, which you're not supposed to mix w/ SSRI's but my psychiastrist said no problem at this tiny dosage.

Those remaining are fatigue, brain freezes/overstimulation, headaches, sensitivity to light and sound. Insomnia is getting better but still an issue, and appetite is ba-ack! Depression and anxiety are largely under control thanks to Lexapro, exercise, and a very distant light at the end of the tunnel. Drugs: Lexapro, occasional 2-5mgs ambien. Off amatryptaline. Taking about 453 supplements. Just started vision therapy, waiting on some blue-tinted prism glasses. "You will encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. Two hours working on a spread sheet would do me in. It is not how much you rest but how high the peaks of activity are. Moderating the peak effort is as important as rest.
Pulse is not as important as Blood Pressure. Do you have a blood pressure kit ? They are inexpensive and well worth the investment.

I have an at home BP kit as my BP was always high there for a while for some reason after the concussion and cervical steroid injection.
Definitely pace yourself, so easy to do too much, good luck. |

The point of a BP kit is to check your BP when you have the pounding head aches. If your BP is elevated during the head aches, then your high BP is likely the cause.
