Any of you trying green tea? I have read several benefits of green tea after a concussion and how it helps reduce the inflammation and it's powerful anti oxidant effect. No harm in giving it a try in my opinion although it might not speed up recovery. Is it better to use it in the form of tea bags or loose? Please share your green tea experience and have you been feeling any difference?

Just started drinking it myself after reading up on it.
Couldn't tolerate the taste at first until a friend suggested after microwaving the water, let it sit of one minute, put tea bag for 3 and take it out, now it tastes much better. I've also left the bag in longer and it's just as good. Got some loose leaf too but not tried it yet. |

When I first started drinking green tea, it's taste was awful..but I so desperately wanted to get on it that I ignored the taste and added some natural sweetener which also comes in the leaves form(yet one more anti oxidant )..so it's like icing on the cake...I am so used to it now that I wouldn't prefer the regular tea in milk and would rather go for the green tea..it just takes a while to get used to the taste..also organic green teas taste better than the regular ones that we often see on shelves

i have a weak cup of green tea every morning. also bought some green tea supplements but am afraid to use them b/c of adding more caffeine at a time i'm already jittery from going up on one drug and down on another...will hopefully be able to handle more caffeine when the drug cocktail settles out.

Those remaining are fatigue, brain freezes/overstimulation, headaches, sensitivity to light and sound. Insomnia is getting better but still an issue, and appetite is ba-ack! Depression and anxiety are largely under control thanks to Lexapro, exercise, and a very distant light at the end of the tunnel. Drugs: Lexapro, occasional 2-5mgs ambien. Off amatryptaline. My doctor recommended (prescribed) EGCg (green tea), 400mg twice daily, as part of my daily regimen.
EGCg is an antioxidant. Jamie
