If you start looking, you can fond dozens and dozens of articles about growth hormone deficiency, neuroendocrine dysfunction, hypopituitarism and post-traumatic hypopituitarism caused by mTBI if you start Googling them. This seems to be what a lot of experts are researching these days. I suspect in the next 10 years or so, that a lot more information will be gained about this subject, and that will include changing the hormone levels that are considered "normal" or average so that more people can be treated. There also seems to be some discrepancies among experts opinions concerning different gender needs of GH.

mTBI and PCS after sledding accident 1-17-2011

Was experiencing:
Persistent headaches, fatigue, slowed cognitive functions, depression
Symptoms exacerbated by being in a crowd, watching TV, driving, other miscellaneous stress & sensory overload

i had soooooooooo much planned , surgery , a trip booked to america with my friends , i just cant see it all happening now , this has effected my life so much!!! im only 20

I'm new to this forum (a fall in my condo 8 months ago has me dealing with similar symptoms to yours). If you rest and don't try to push through it you will heal. Reading through the stories on this forum gives me hope. I had a very similar experience to you. I didn't realize I had a problem at first and now here I am with getting tired just from talking to my friends, sensitivity to noise and getting dizzy from just walking.

BUT each week when I don't overdo it I do see improvement. The key is to have patience. It sucks to lose your social life, especially at your age when going out is expected but you just have to tell your friends you are sick and just stay home. Let yourself heal now. It's better to have a boring year at 20 than to live it up in misery and suffer for longer. Rest now so you can enjoy the rest of your 20s when you are ready.

You might want to postpone the trip - America isn't going anywhere. Our pizza will be here waiting for you over the next 80 years of your life. You will get here!

When you are depressed come to this forum and see there are people who understand.
