Default The injury site on the head feels sore to touch

Sometimes I feel dull pain like feeling on the impact site. I am not sure if it can be called pain as it's extremely dull and it feels sore to touch or maybe I feel it because I am concentrating too much on that area, but there is certainly some sensitivity in that piece of bone in the skull I think. It's been almost 5 months since I hit my head on a concrete wall. Any similar experiences?

My head was sore to the touch, but as far as I know not actually at the point of impact. My head felt like it was bruised, so it hurt to push on it or touch it, and would have a dull ache or slight burning if I wasn't touching it.

The sensation was on the top of my head, where I am fairly certain I didn't actually hit. I fell off a horse and it is possible that I hit my head on the horse on the way down but I hit it on the ground for sure.

I would notice the pain becoming more intense after being overstimulated. Over time it gradually lessened and it took more stimulus to bring it on. I haven't felt it in about 3 months now, which would have been 21 months after my accident.

I'm not exactly sure where the point of impact was after my slip on the ice, as I only had a small scrape on my left cheek bone, but my left temple/above the ear has experienced at least some kind of sensation, ranging from a bad headache to the kind of dull sensation that might be considered pain that you describe, every hour every day since my fall. I've also experienced a similar sensation at the top of my head, where I nudged a car visor 5 days after my fall, although this isn't as constant, but even 6.5 months later I still have pain there.

I thought that everyone's headaches were localized (at least mostly) to where the impact was - is this not the case? I've gotten new headaches that aren't localized to places of impact since, but those only started a few months ago, and I still get the constant pain/sensation where the impacts were.

26 year-old PhD student in evolutionary biology, slipped on ice in Feb 2014 while clipping my fingernails and walking to save time (dumbest reason for PCS ever?). Initially just had headaches and didn't feel quite right, but a minor head bump 5 days later started a downward spiral of anxiety, depression, insomnia and fatigue. Had trouble concentrating on reading/looking at screens

April 2014 - did exertion test, passed, started exercising and doing more, but didn't feel much better.

May 2014 - Went on backpacking trip OK'd by doctor, trip itself went fine, but felt worse a few days after getting back, more difficulty concentrating, worse headaches.

June 2014 - Bumped head on ceiling walking slowly down stairs, no immediate symptoms, but caused worsening headahces, more difficulty concentrating and looking at screens. Have not felt as good as I did before this since this bump.

December 2014 - after feeling relatively better I went xc skiing and fell but didn't hit my head (something my psychologist who specializes in brain injuries told me he hoped would happen so I saw it was OK), felt worse

Feb 2015 - back in grad school, light teaching load and some research, nowhere close to operating at my full capacity. Still have constant headaches, difficulty reading/looking at screens, mild anxiety and depression, and just not feeling like my normal sharp self.

Trying, but struggling, to believe that I'll get back to my old self, or at least get close.

my soreness at injury site comes and goes. Pain all over comes and goes too. Sometimes i'll get a numb feeling on the top of my skull that goes straight down to tailbone. Sometimes arms and legs will burn. never a dull moment Being interested in science, I would like to know the reasons.

My soreness comes and goes too, had contusions on the top of my head but don't remember anything.

The headaches were basically all over though.
