I am in the appeals process for CPP Disability and I need any help and advice anyone can give me.
It is so amazing that when we need it the most there is no help/assistance… I don't know how much longer we can possibly hold on financially. I really need this. |

I need to do this, but, having spent years litigating my mva, I'm just not ready for this fight. Thankfully, we can survive on my husband's income.
While I haven't done this myself, I have friends who have. You won't want to hear this, but most of them had to hire lawyers. The system is designed to deny as many applications as possible. Being turned down on your first attempt is pretty much guaranteed. They just hope that most people will give up and not appeal. Yes, sick, I know. Before you start being robbed by some lawyer, contact your MP's office. Some of them are quite helpful in these matters. Just knowing one of their political masters is interested, can help get a faster, affirmative response. Best of luck. ![]() |

If you are in Ontario there is the Ontario Disability Program which may happen faster and I believe is more money plus supports for people with disabilities. If you are in another province there is something similar but named differently, I know of someone in Alberta getting about 1400 per month for a stroke.
Good luck I know how hard it is to get along with out money and it is really frustrating to know you can not do much about it.
