does anyone else experience extreme fatigue after walking too much, for example? not just being tired but so tired that you feel somewhat dizzy and simply unable to move any part of your body lasting for more than a day.

Yes, i think it is a common symptom in PCS. I experienced that from time to time, but most of the time it was after exposure to strong light.

Pushing through an activity to a point of causing mental fatigue can cause the fatigue to last a day or so, for some, even longer. Why are you walking so long ? How long did you walk ?
It would help if you included more information, such as how long you walked ? Hypothetical questions are difficult to respond to. There may be other factors to consider, too. Walking in a crowd would be one.

Sounds like you need to pace yourself better, it's OK to feel tired after a walk but not completely debilitated. If you walk regularly you will find it gets better in time, after my injury I could only just walk up and down our street! now I can walk four miles or more.

Mark: i went out for a walk just to get some fresh air and hoping that a little physical exertion would improve my sleep, walked a couple of miles (3 or so). there were no other people around so it was not a crowded situation. how do people overcome this? sleep more? time?

You should build up to this kind of effort. You also can check to see if your gait has a pounding effect. Try walking with ear plugs. You can hear the impact of your foot plant. Then, learn to take softer steps.
