What's the role of methylcobalamin(vitamin B12) in traumatic brain injuries ? I for instance know that it can help with peripheral neuropathy but does it heal the damaged nerves ? And tinnitus being mostly a nerve problem can it possibly help in tinnitus reduction ? I am currently taking 1500mcg daily . how long does it take to see improvements ? I don't want to keep any hopes just tell me if there is a possibility and it MAY help with the ringing if its a nerve damage in ear .

methylB12 is a cofactor in making melatonin...the sleep hormone.
It is also a cofactor with fish oil, folate and B6 to remyelinate damaged myelin on the axons of nerves. It works in the spinal cord too.
