I think the risk of damage is very individual. What does not damage one person can damage another. In my case, I had to learn to not move my head quickly. If moving you head quickly cause any type of sensation, you have a choice to make. Either accept that quick head movement will cause these symptoms or change your behavior so these fast head movements are reduced. Either way, these fast head movements will still happen from time to time.
