Default Valuable Information

When there is an attempt to help someone with a concussion, there are a few bits of information that are helpful.

Location.
This is important so we can understand what kind of health care resources may be available. Between Canada, the UK and the USA, each have very different systems. Other countries are just as varied.

State and City in the US can be helpful because there may be specific recommendations of clinics, etc. If it is a Work Comp case, different states have different WC systems.

Age and sex. Us older people have slower and lesser chances of recovery. Younger people have more healing capability. Youth have other issues to consider.
Sex means there can be more hormonal fluctuations to deal with.

I know some are concerned about privacy issues but using fictitious screen names covers that easily. We routinely advize newbies to not use their real name to help maintain anonymity. The moderators can help change a real name to a fictitious screen name.

For those who are willing, composing a signature in the User CP under Edit Signature can allow us to see your specifics with each post. Many of us have memory problems so trying to remember information from prior posts is problematic. You can set the font size to 1 to make your specifics 'the fine print.'
