Hi MVTBI,
I feel that way too. And when I get on a run of days when I feel better, I start to think it is a true trend, so I get an expectation. I increase my activity. I think, oh, I can do this now. I can do that. Which makes me feel better about myself. Unfortunately, when the roller coaster goes back down, so does my self esteem. I need to work on not having my mood change so much with my good days and bad days. I hear a lot about how doing a certain amount of cognitive effort is good for the brain. But for me, I find it hard to judge (and restrict) that amount. Once I start going, I find it hard to keep it low level, especially since I like to do creative projects that can get large and those have had to go by the wayside for now. I do try to get on the exercise bike daily. Sometimes I just say that I will clean up one room of the house. Woo hoo. Not what I would call stimulating. I wish I had some suggestions for you, but I do know how you feel. Be well Julie |
