Default can one get a concussion from this?

i don't know whether i got a new concussion or just a setback, but my condition has worsened a lot after the following happened:

I was lying in bed, on the back. my mother wanted to pick something up that was beside the bed and accidently ran with her tibia into the edge of the bed(the end where the legs are). The bed and my whole body moved up quickly for 1 or 2 inches. The head didn't hit anywhere, it was just a quick movement that I could feel in my whole body and the head.

what is your oppinion?

No, you can not get a concussion from basically a bounce of the bed like you mentioned.

Hi Chris. I had a similar thing happen to me. I was sitting in a riding hall, watching people ride their horses. When suddenly a dog came through the open door and scared the Horses. I got scared to and jumped up fast. Did not hit my head but got nausea right away. Today I feel bad and all my symptoms are back.

Hi Anja.

That is really interessting. We basically experienced the same, a quick body and head movement without hitting anywhere. I don't know what the explanation could be.

Are you anxious?

I used to experience feelings like this, and once I stopped worrying about the event, I stopped experiencing the symptoms.

As PostConcussionMan said, I too find that forgetting about the event can stop the worse feeling that you are having. I have really bad anxiety about hitting my head again, every time something happens by accident where I jerk my head foward or I come close to hitting my head I become very nervous about the event.

For now, all you have to do is if you find that you think you did an action or something happened that could give you a concussion, just try to forget about it. And you should feel better. If symptoms still persist for a time tell your doctor about it definitely. But for the most part I just ignore it, and it goes away!

Good luck
Sam
