Hi all,
So I've had a post concussion syndrome concussion for 7 months now, and I've been so scared that if u hit my head again... It will give me another concussion. Today, has been that scary scary day. Today in school I was turning a corner and bumped into someone and my head slammed into a concrete wall. It was hard, but not that hard. It was the lower right side of my head. It hurt for 5 minutes and the pain went away, the pain was just like I banged my head normally. My question now is how can I tell if I got a 2nd concussion when I already had really bad symptoms from my regular one. The only thing I noticed after I hit my head is that my symptoms got worse. I'm panicking that this is another concussion Thanks, Sam |

Panic is wasted energy, so don't stress about that, just deal with the new symptoms as needed. It doesn't really matter if a new concussion or a re aggravated one.
Same result, increase in symptoms.. Do you have a knot or bump from hitting your head? You can Ice that to reduce any swelling.. Rest the brain as much as you can, eat healthy , get plenty of sleep plenty of fluids, and quiet time. Avoid junk foods ...

Hello!
Thank you for the reply jo*mar, I appreciate it. I definitely think that it was more of a minor setback, rather than a whole nother concussion. I'm just going to rest and drink plenty of fluids. |
