From what I remember when I first got the injury the top part of my head was very sensitive to the wind when I would be running and I remember it took a few months until it got back to normal. Now the only thing that has lingered how I said in the previous in when it is bothering me with headphones. I am wondering if there is any way that I can purchase a TEN's machine for personal use and a near infrared light device, or I would have to find a clinic that offers these types of treatments?

I don't know about TENS systems specifically but there are many for sale. Just Google TENS system. I don't know what kind of system would be best.

I have a near infrared light therapy system. http://revivelighttherapy.com/collections/all-products Sign up for the email newsletter and they will send you a discount code. I'm using mine right now. I have the pain therapy system. I think it would be the one you want. I think the discount code is ' enjoy15nov ' They ship quickly. Got mine in 4 days.

BUT, you need to provide your body with the vitamins to support nerve health. The myelin sheath that surrounds nerve fibers grows/heals very slowly and needs B-12 and folic acid. Without healthy myelin, the nerve fiber is raw and will not heal.

How much intake of vitamin B-12 and folic I should be taking considering I'm 6-4 and 190 pounds. I'm looking at the I near infrared light therapy devices and I'm thinking the handheld one would be the best one to go for. I would assume daily treatment from this machine with the vitamin intake I should get results in maybe 3-4 months?

Don't assume healing time. There is no way to know the severity of your nerve damage. I have the corded handheld light with 72 LEDs sold for pain relief. It cost me $84 after 15% discount off the $99 sale price. I use it twice a day for 15 minutes. The facial systems (acne and aging) are not the wavelength suggested by research.

The Vitamins sticky says dosages. 1000 to 2500 mcgs of B-12. A B-50 Complex has the proper dose of folic acid.
