My neuro psychologist says it's quite common for a pre existing issue of depression and/or anxiety to worsen with PCS. My depression became horrible for a little while afterwards until we switched the original medication I was on.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I had nausea for the first week or two when I was on Effexor. It's supposed to be only a temporary side effect. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

More me the nausea and lack of appetite wasn't that bad (it really sucked though). However, by day 3-4 my attention span was waning, I had a bad frontal and top headache and my brain felt like a fried egg. Also, my ears ached. I suspect that I am one of the few that has a sensitivity to this drug

Good thing you went off probably. I never had those side effects, but I know people who did have bad reactions to it.

I'm back on a low dose of Effexor. Last year I couldn't tolerate 37.5 mg after a few days.
Now I am starting out on 1/3 of a 37.5mg capsule. The dose is roughly 12.5mg. This is the Dr. Hain protocol. I am supposed to up my dose by a third each week and hopefully stay at 37.5 mg.

I'm on day 2 of my extra low dose trial.
So far I am more relaxed and calm and less anxious. I am also probably less subjectively dizzy. However, I'd say that my mental functioning is probably pretty average. I would say I feel slightly above average today.
