After feeling pretty good the past few months, I've had a return of low-grade PCS symptoms. I suspected caffeine at first and cut way back on that, which did help. However, the symptoms are still there a little bit. My next suspect is artificial sweeteners. They have crept into my diet w/o much problem until now.
Artificial sweeteners cover a lot of different products. I know there is evidence some artificial sweeteners are not great for neuro-health. My question to you all, is what about the naturally derived non-sugar/agave ones? Specifically Stevia and erythritol? Anyone have any experience with symptoms on these? |

I would not be concerned with either. Sucralose, aspartame, and saccharine are all artificially made to fake out the taste buds and others. Stevia has a long history and alcohol sugars occur in many foods.

Thanks Mark! That's the evidence I have come across as well. I'm going to try to cut out the others first and see where that gets me.

After being mostly symptom free (not healed), a small persistent headache has returned with some vision troubles. Again not much but I'm sure it's something I'm ingesting that is causing the change. Cutting out the caffeine helped for sure, but not totally.

There are plenty of reasons for your symptoms besides what you have eaten. Artificial sweeteners are just a small part of good nutrition. Some relapses are never connected to a trigger/cause.
Vision and headaches often go hand in hand. Sleep quality can also influence both.
