It would be worthwhile to get some blood work. Thyroid, B-12, D-3, Folate, and the rest of a full panel. Some get the rest of the hormones checked but that would require somebody who understands hormones to read the results.
I'm not sure a medical massage would be good unless it was directed by a Physical Therapist who is knowledgeable and skilled at working with upper neck issues. Upper neck injuries should be treated with gentle therapy. No range of motion and harsh stuff. Just gentle traction and mobilization. A massage therapist may get too aggressive. How often do you have the headaches and do they respond to pain meds like ibuprofen or acetaminophen (Tylenol) ?
