I had two pairs of prism glasses...close and far as bifocals were far to confusing for my brain when I started therapy.

The close glasses brought me instant comfort and relief when I tried them on...next came the distance glasses and I broke into tears at the office, they were so odd and weren't a miracle.

I wore them till I needed a break then I gave myself a break. I think it took me a couple of months to stop having headaches and become comfortable with them on.

I have bifocals with prisms now and still use the other 2 pairs when I am home. My eyes seem to tire more quickly with the bifocals so I use the others when needed out and about. As well I can go for a time without any distance correction now but I need to be aware of the times when my eyes need the glasses...without them at times anxiety rises and the glasses settle it back down again.

I can tell the therapy helps but there are times when they act up still and they don't do as they are supposed to with my home exercises.

I have noticed that my depth perception at times is better without glasses. I went on my in laws roof recently and felt rather insecure up there which is unusual for me...I took the glasses off and the connection to my feet felt firm just as quick as I removed them.

I sure don't know how to explain such things but it does happen and experience and fiddling around with things helps.
