Skull fontanelle seems to have missing parts. It means there is no titanium plate, what is then protecting brain, somekind polymer plate or thin bone?

DTI MRI (Diffusion Tensor Imaging) does not show severed brain connections. It shows abnormal fluid flow that indicates improper function of brain cells.

How old were you when you suffered your TBI ?
Why would you expect to have a titanium plate or polymer plate ?

Do you have a specific symptom you are trying to treat ?

In the US, most medical records are not kept past 7 years unless they get digitized (scanned) and stored electronically. 20 years ago, not many hospitals were digitizing records so physical (paper or film) records would be destroyed unless there was an ongoing need.

Would it accomplish anything for me to get a cat scan or diffusion MRI(don't know what that is)? My car accident was 5.5 years ago. Cat scan right after didn't show any abnormality.

Currently working with acupuncturist/massage guy that does pressure point release and gua sha(similar to cupping) to promote blood flow and get the neck/back muscles to relax.

For my own sake, I would like to see a scan and say, this is what's wrong with me. Even if there wasn't anything I can do about it at least my family might understand it's not in my head.

A DTI MRI costs $1600 to $3000 or more. It would be hard to find a neuro who would say it is medically necessary.

HDFT MRI also can detect broken brain connections not visible to CT scan. Unfortunatelly my neurologist concluded that I have healthy brain and told to go to psychologist because CT scan showed only skull deformations.
I think I'm fading away and my brain fog is worsening gradually, possible do to aging. But can't believe it's due anxiety because I'm currently feel calm, even too relaxed to the point I want just lay on bed.
