It doesn't translate perfectly to concussions, but it is interesting nonetheless.
Researchers at MIT are using 40hz (gamma wave) lights on mice in a Alzheimer's study. According to the study, MIT researchers have shown that they can substantially reduce the beta amyloid plaques seen in Alzheimer’s disease. Listen to this podcast for more information: Bringing Gamma Back - Radiolab I tried looking at a 40hz LED and I must say it has a soothing quality about it. They are classified as gamma waves, which according to a popular theory, gamma waves may be implicated in creating the unity of conscious perception.
