I've been a mess recently.
I haven't been able to sleep a solid night in a month, and anxiety has riddled my days. The counselor here at school has not been much help. I have been staring at my physics work for hours. I am having a very difficult time grasping these new concepts. These issues have been making me think back on my past injuries. I am the same person I've always known. I have had injuries that may or may not have been TBI's (was that LOC or did I blink?). However, recently I have not been keeping up with the other students. It's very frustrating. I have made good grades during the past semesters. My main concerns are whether I will be able to thrive (in any sense). Will I make my wife happy? Will I hold down a respectable job? Am I doomed to slip into premature cognitive decline? I set up an appointment with a psychiatrist next month, as per my doctor's recommendation. In the mean time, I could use some serious help with insomnia and anxiety, as I have been having a hard time finding it. |
