Had to stop Cymbalta antidepressant because it damaged my liver. Was able to go 6 months off it before depression returned and anxiety has gotten terrible. Have tried nuedexta and trimtellix. Both had side effects I could not take within 4 days.
I eat well and use a recumbent bike 30 min day. Will not do ect therapy. Slight talk of ketamine. Any ideas or help please.

Have you tried 5-HTP? Start will 100 mgs and step up 100 mgs a week to 300 mgs or even 500 mgs. Don't go above 500 mgs without an extended time at 500 mgs.
Are you taking a vitamin regimen?

If you are not taking an anti-depressant or anti-anxiety drugs, 5-HTP has no contra-indications. Your doc will probably not know what to do with it. It is a naturally occurring substance in your body. L-Tryptophan becomes 5-HTP which becomes serotonin and melatonin.
My progressive doctor/psychiatrist helped me transition off an SSRI to L-Tryptophan and 5-HTP. If you doctor does not support it, there is no reason you cannot try it on your own. Just start with the low dose. I start every day with 100 mgs of 5-HTP. I'm a mess without it.
