Lorax,
Welcome to NeuroTalk. I'm sorry to hear you son is struggling so. It is difficult for a mom to see a child struggle, especially with the unknowns of concussion. If it was a broken leg, the recovery is understood. Not so with concussions. For those friends who you think may be worth the effort, there are some simple online explanations you could offer them. This web site has some good explanations, more oriented for adults but still worthwhile. Lost & Found: What Brain Injury Survivors Want You to Know | BrainLine The information at Traumatic Brain Injury is more in-depth. Please feel free to ask or tell us anything about you and your son's struggles. How did he suffer his concussion? What symptoms is he struggling with? What 'acute' concussion treatment has be received? What have the doctors recommended? My best to you.
