Hey all, just reaching out to see if anyone has experienced similar vision symptoms. They are as follows
. Pressure feeling in eye, almost like the sensation you get when you cross your eyes (go cross eyed) .seems like images take a longer time to become singular when moving head and stopping to the left, and to the right .General uncomfortableness focusing on television .things/objects in life almost seem to three dimensional, almost like I'm living in a 3d movie. .slight nystagmus when focusing on objects, bouncing vision when walking or attempting to run. Difficulty tracking objects These are really getting annoying day in and day out and I'm just looking for anyone who has some similar issues. Thx |

I have had strange vision since my fall 6 months ago from a syncope event. Three dimensional as well as static/snow especially noticeable in low light settings. Vision is blurry (now have new prescriptions that help) and it is hard to put into words everything just looks very strange.
I have went to two ophthalmologist and with numerous tests including optomap imaging they say eyes look normal. I just got a referral to a Nero-Ophthalmologist so we'll see what come about. I have neck issues (spinal fusion last year) and a recent MRI shows i still have issues with some of the vertebra at c7. Vision blurry, dizziness and ringing ears are my remaining symptoms. Vision issues can come from the neck or a brain injury which makes is frustrating to figure out as both are complicated systems. I went to a NUCCA Chiro. for six visits and while she said i was slightly out of alignment on C2 and made adjustments, I saw no improvement to any of my symptoms. How long have you been dealing with the vision issues? |

Hammet, I'm sorry to hear you are going through rough times. We both took an injury about a month apart. Long road.. I had similar symptoms as you. Couldn't watch TV.. a camera panning around and just any movement caused me to feel really ill. Noise sensitivity, light sensitivity, insomnia, anxiety, dizziness, and of coarse, blurred vision. Gave up driving for a while as i felt out of body and very impaired. I can say some things slowly have gotten better. Not the vision unfortunately or dizziness.
Sometimes i have to think back at how bad it really was over the holidays as a reminder so i appreciate where i am today. I took some advice from this board and take quite a medley of supplements from the vitamin sticky and worked on getting better sleep. These two along with a med to keep my anxiety low have made a huge difference with some of the symptoms. Dizziness can come from the neck, inner ear problem, vision, or brain injury. I am still chasing it but I have confidence, most folks do get better. The "It just takes time" phrase I remind myself often. |

Yes!!! Oh my goodness, yes!! I have been seeing an AMAZING she specialist who says it is pretty common. Something about how it head injuries can affect the timing of light adjustment and how the brain interprets it. There are different therapies that have just recently been found to help. I am currently doing light therapy. . . . . . . Perhaps you may benefit as well?

I'm hoping to get to the bottom of what the cause specifically is soon (ie just vision, vestibular, or something else) I may look into light therapy, thanks for bringing that up, its tough not being able to pinpoint that actual source yet, that makes it hard to treat or do therapy, I'm seeing a neuro opthamologist this week, and a neuro otologist next week to hopefully help me sort some of this out

I have exact symptoms and i was diagnosed with convergence insufficiency. You need to see a neuro-opthamologist and ideally one that prescribes prism/tinted glasses. Vision therapy is fine and works for some people, but others like myself don't respond to it/makes symptoms worse and need the prism.
I wouldn't be able to read or work with them. It doesn't get rid of all of my symptoms, but without them, I would stand no chance of being functional. Mind Eye Connection is a very good place and worth traveling to. PM for more info. good luck! |

Well, the neuro opthamologist concluded that there isn't anything wrong from his point of view, since then I've also found out that I have a 40 percent weakness in my left ear from the incident (from what ive read a lot of normal people test even at 30 percent weakness) and the incident may have been a trigger to vestibular migraines/MAV. So the journey continues

Hammett,
How did you figure out that you had 40% weakness in your left ear? Who did that test and what test was it? |
